Frequently Asked Questions
Do we need to know our start/finish times when we book with you? (or) What if we are not sure of start/finish times when we book with you? No. / Not a problem. As long as we have a general idea (daytime, nighttime, etc.), you will not need to finalize times until the week of your event. And even then, if you decide you would like to add time at the end of your event, you can usually do so.
What can we expect you to wear to our event? (or) What will you wear to our event? If it is a wedding or other formal event, we will typically wear a tuxedo shirt, tie, vest, pants, and shoes unless otherwise directed. For other types of events, we simply ask what the attire will be.
Do/Can you provide sound for wedding ceremonies, too?
Is there an additional charge for lighting?
Are there any hidden fees? No. That's bad business. Taxes?
Is your set-up time part of the time we contract you for? (Reword that.) Is your set-up time part of our contracted time? No. Set up is on our time. We typically need 45-60 minutes to set up and to take down our equipment.
Do you have backup equipment in case something breaks down? Yes. Our equipment is high quality, and is well maintained. But I'm anal, so I bring backup components to every event.
Do you take requests?
Can we have a "Do Not Play" list?
Do we choose our own music? You can be as hands-on or hands-off as you would like when it comes to song selection. Sometimes we get a song list back with nothing marked, and a note that simply says to get as many people dancing as possible. Other times, we get the list back and there are not only songs marked, but notes on when to play them...
